Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Homecoming Countdown Studio at homecomingcountdown.com handles information when you create, view, or manage a countdown page.

Information we collect

• Creator details: your name and email address.
• Page content: the missionary’s name, mission, areas served, photo, arrival date, time, airport or location, message, and design choices. Mission information may reveal religious affiliation.
• Security information: page identifiers, creation times, email delivery status, hashed IP addresses used to limit abuse, and records of editing-link requests and sessions. Our hosting and email providers may also process IP addresses, browser and request information, and delivery logs to operate and protect their services.

We store and serve the uploaded photo file. Embedded metadata is not automatically removed. Remove location or other private metadata before uploading, and include only information you have permission to publish.

How we use information

We use this information to publish and display countdowns, send creators their page and future editing links, verify editing access, save changes, process deletions, respond to requests, and prevent misuse. The organizer receives a notification email containing the submitted contact details, page details, and public page link.

Who receives information

Public page content is available to visitors. Creator contact information and service records are accessible to the site organizer and providers that help operate the service. The site uses OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare for hosting and storage, and Resend for email delivery. FormSubmit is configured as a fallback for organizer notifications when Resend is not configured; it receives the submitted contact and page details when used.

The site does not include features for selling personal information or targeted advertising. Information may also be disclosed when necessary to comply with applicable law or address fraud, abuse, or security incidents. Privacy requests sent to our dedicated contact address are forwarded by Porkbun to the organizer’s inbox. Service providers may process information outside your state or country.

Cookies and editing access

We use a necessary, secure session cookie to keep you signed in for editing. Editing sessions last two hours. Emailed sign-in links expire after 15 minutes and work once. Do not share these private sign-in links. The site’s application does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics scripts, and does not change its behavior in response to browser “Do Not Track” signals. Hosting providers may process technical information for service operation and security.

How long information stays

Countdown pages and associated creator details do not automatically expire after the homecoming. They remain in the active service until deleted. Deleting a page removes its active database record and triggers removal of its uploaded photo. Expired editing records are cleaned up during later editing-link requests; expiration prevents their use even before cleanup.

Deleting a page does not retract emails already sent or erase copies saved by visitors, search engines, or other services. Organizer emails and provider logs or backups may remain separately; they are not automatically removed by the page’s Delete site button. Contact us about these records rather than assuming page deletion removes every copy.

Your choices and requests

Visit Edit your homecoming site, enter the email used to create your page, and follow the secure link to edit or delete it. For access to your information, corrections you cannot make yourself, deletion assistance, or a concern about information someone else published about you, email privacy@homecomingcountdown.com. Include the page link and a description of your request. We may need to verify your identity or authority before releasing or changing private information. Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have additional privacy rights.

Permission and children

Only publish another person’s information or photo with appropriate permission. This service is intended for adults creating or managing homecoming pages, not for children under 13 to submit personal information. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information, contact us so we can investigate and address it.

Administrative moderation

The administrator can review all countdowns and creator contact details, hide or restore pages, and permanently delete inappropriate pages or respond to removal requests. Hidden pages and their photos are unavailable publicly but remain stored until deleted. We retain an administrative activity record containing the page identifier, action, date, administrator identity, and reason, including after page deletion. Dashboard counts use stored page records; they do not track individual visitors.

Security

We use secure connections, limited-duration editing links, and checks that restrict editing to the verified creator’s email. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Public countdown content should not contain information you want to keep private.
